Bernoulli's Principle Experiment: Why Paper Rises When You Blow On It

When you place a piece of paper under your bottom lip and blow across the top surface, the paper will rise up.

Here's why:

* Bernoulli's Principle: This principle states that faster-moving air has lower pressure.

* The Effect: When you blow air across the top of the paper, the air above the paper moves much faster than the air underneath the paper. This creates a region of lower pressure above the paper. The higher pressure below the paper then pushes the paper upwards, towards the lower-pressure area.
