Summer! That always-enchanting season we look forward to year after year. Even freckled, easily-burnt, not-made-for-heat gals like me can appreciate the balmy sweetness of the season. 

Make your summer days all the brighter with an in-your-face pop of bright lipstick.

Peach

Peach is such a stunning lip shade on so many skin tones, especially when paired with bronzed skin and gold accents on the eyes and cheeks. My favorite peachy shade is Peach Bellini – so saturated and rich, right? 

Tip: Wear this stunner as a blush for a monochrome effect. I take a tiny bit of product on my finger and press onto the apples of my cheeks. Stay-all-day blush! 

Barbie Pink

Pink lipstick is welcome in my rotation any day, any season, but especially during summer. The brighter, the better! My top pick is B-Day Kisses, a bright, Barbie-esque pink fit for any poolside jaunt. 

Tip: create a stain by pressing a small amount of B-Day Kisses into the lips and top with a SPF balm for a more casual and protective look for daily wear. 

Unexpected Purple

Feeling rebellious? Want to shake it up? Purple, purple, purple! Like a cold grape soda on a sweltering day, Shady (cool, opaque purple) is refreshing and oh-so-stylish.

Tip: adjust the texture and shade of your orange lippie with a gold-flecked gloss. I do this when I feel like my lippie is starting to wear but I have no time (slash can’t be bothered) to reapply.
