Bridal Blush Application: A Guide for Radiant Wedding Makeup

Bridal make up can never be complete without rosy cheeks! The blush adds a whole new dimension and feel to the Bridal look that brings out a whole different side of you.

Here are a few tips on how to apply blush if you are a bride to be and look your best.

Bridal Makeup Blush – How to Apply Blush?

1.Choosing the colour according to your skin tone:

  • It is important not to look too made up at your wedding yet retain that rosy glow on the cheeks.
  • If your complexion is wheatish or a little darker, then go for rosy brown blush for contours. This will accentuate your looks.
  • If you have very fair to pale pinkish skin tone, then go for orangish rose shade, which is almost neutral to rose. Brownish rosy shades will look streaky and tanned on your skin tone. So avoid darker rose shades.
  • For cheeks, always select a colour that is a tone or two lighter than the one you have selected for the contours.

2. Application of bridal makeup blush –Selection of brushes:

  • Be careful about the selection of the brush. If you go wrong with the brush, you will end up with a streak on your face. You certainly do not want that to happen.
  • Go for angular brushes for cheek hollows. For the apples go for a big blush brush.

Application of bridal blush makeup –Blushing cheek contours

  • Suck your cheeks in. Coat your angular brush with the darker blush colour, Pat off excess and give an angular sweep
  • Start with slightest of touch at the nearest area on the lips and then move diagonally upwards toward the nearest to the ear, below the cheek apples.
  • Press the brush on to skin more as you move upward to get darker towards the ears.

Application of Bridal Makeup Blush – Cheek apples

  • Always use a lighter pinkish shade for the cheek apples in contrast to the shade you are using on the cheek hollows.
  • With a big blush brush, give big circular swipes with gentle hands on to the cheek apples. Do not overdo.

3. Finish up of Bridal blush makeup:

Finish up the look with a compact powder by puffing some powder on to the cheeks such that no streakiness is seen and everything gets blended on to skin very well.

4.Bridal Makeup Blush Highlight:

You can swipe on some glitter as the last touch to the blush which can make you look shinier in the pictures.

Complete the overall look by Swiping the blush on the sides of the nose bone as this will make your nose look sharper.

You can also swipe some blush on two sides of the chin but not on to middle. Follow the same with the forehead but avoid applying in the center. And Voila you are ready!

You might have now understood how to apply blush makeup! Though this seems to be a basic concept, i hope it might somehow help you in creating your own perfect blush.
