Ponytails have been with us for a long time now. For so long that we the women of today take it for granted! It marked its place in our subconscious back in the 1950’s when the barbie’s became a rage and every little girl wanted one of them. And since then they have a must for every little girl. Certainly as kids you were obsessed too! But Sarah Dee had decided about the same time that even the adults needed some playfulness in their looks and she was seen sporting a single pony many times! But the most unforgettable was Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face back in 1957. Madonna gave a stern sexy feel in the 1990’s and it has since then been shelved. They are however back with a bang this year and are all over our run ways! Simple and sleek is what a ponytail is.
Enough talk about when and where the ponytails came from and vanished to and came back from. Let’s get to the point. Are looking for a simple yet playful hair do? You have come to the right place.

And a ponytail is something you can always count on to keep your hair from going haywire! Put both together and you have a perfect hair do! A double twisted ponytail it is.
Here are a few tips to do double twist hairstyle. I’ll show you how.
Start with brushing and detangling your hair
Take a side partition and grab a section of the hair from side. Spritz a holding spray across the length on the hair section grabbed.
Start twisting tightly till you reach 3/4thof the length. Pull the hair back and secure the twist just below the crown with the help of a bobby pin.
Repeat the same on the other side.
Using a rear mirror adjust the look of the pins to get symmetry. Also spritz some holding spray for the twists to last long without loosening.
Grab the remaining hair and tie into a pony with elastic.
Insert a rat tail comb or a finger into the pony just above the elastic as shown. Loosen it to form a big depression.
After making the depression, hold hair at the lower end of the elastic and flip the pony. Now insert the flip into the depression and start pulling it down as shown.
You will get a twisted pony.
Tighten the pony.
Done!!!
Accessorize according to your will if you want to cover the bobby pins.
