Pantene Hair Donation Program: Requirements & Alternatives

Pantene Beautiful Lengths, the hair donation program run by Pantene in partnership with Hair U Wear, officially ended on December 31, 2018.

As of now, Pantene no longer accepts hair donations.

However, you can still donate your hair to other organizations. While requirements vary, here's a general idea of what's typically expected (this may not be exact, so always check the specific organization's website):

* Minimum Length: Typically 8-12 inches is required.

* Clean and Dry: Hair must be freshly washed and completely dry before being cut and sent.

* Unprocessed or Lightly Processed: Hair that has not been permanently dyed, bleached, or chemically treated may be preferred. Some organizations accept hair with highlights or lowlights.

* Gray Hair: Some organizations may accept gray hair.

* Tying and Packaging: Hair must be tied in a ponytail or braid before cutting, then secured at both ends with a rubber band. It is usually placed in a zip-top bag and mailed in a padded envelope.

Popular Organizations to Consider Donating To:

* Wigs for Kids: https://www.wigsforkids.org/

* Locks of Love: https://locksoflove.org/

* Children With Hair Loss: https://childrenwithhairloss.us/

* Hair We Share: https://hairweshare.org/

Important Considerations Before Donating:

* Research: Thoroughly research each organization to ensure they align with your values and to understand their specific requirements.

* Shipping Costs: Be aware that you will likely be responsible for the cost of shipping your hair donation.

Remember to visit the official websites of these organizations for the most up-to-date and accurate information on their donation guidelines.
