How to Remove Primer & Foundation from Hair: Easy Tips
Some times when using a primer on face or forehead, you may have seen that they get stuck to your stray hairs, this is specially possible with the use of a spray primer also (makeup am talking about not wall primers lol ) and it’s real difficult to get them off. Same happens when u are using oil based foundations. Here are a few tips on how to remove that:
- First things first primer has a tendency to get stuck within seconds , so remove it as quickly as possible.
- If it’s on a little or small hair strands and not on a big area, removing makeup or primer so as to say from hairs is easy, take a cotton swab and dip it into a light lotion or a makeup remover and gently clean up the hair and in between.
- If this doesn’t work and you still see that primer is stuck here and there on your hair , then do this, wet a small tissue paper in shampoo water and use this to clean the area of hair. Blow dry hair back to normal.
- If you do not want to use a lotion or a makeup remover, instead you can use a hair serum also. Dip a cotton swab into hair serum and clean with this. It’s oily so it will be able to clean up the mess. If hair falls flat on that area, then dust off some talcum powder to give it dryness.
- If the primer has gotten stuck into a wide wide area of hair, then there is no option better than washing the hair off, tie a band by parting the hair on which there is no primer and separating the part where there is primer stuck on . Wash off the hair by shampooing and putting head under running water , blow dry back to normal before letting the rest of the hair loose. In this way your full hair will not be wet and will be cleaned easily.
- Here is another proven technique. just like alcohol in nail remover cleans up nail polish, if you got a hair alcohol or a hair deodorant like Quoco (I am not suggesting any normal body sprays here mind it ,since they can be damaging to the hair ), then take a tissue or a cotton swab and spray the hair perfume on it. Next clean up the h primers or foundations. since it’s like alcohol in perfumes, it won’t set the hair flat like any lotion. When it’s dry, hair will look normal.
- You can also dip a cotton swab into lemon juice, or vinegar and clean the hair , it will absolutely not affect your hair and is a good cleaner as well.
- Water is not an option if it’s not a water based primer (which primers never are) or a water based foundation.
- Dust off some talcum powder to minimize any shine or u can also use corn flour, very little.
- If you do use any talcum powder or corn starch for minimizing shine and drying hair , then do not forget to shampoo your hair after you rock at a party or your outing!
