We had a John Deere Themed Baby Shower for my nephew. It was fantastic, and so adorable and fun. You may also be looking for baby shower ideas for boys that aren't blue, so I'll tell you all about it.
What we did for the baby shower invitations were we made them out of scrapbooking and supplies. And also, for a little inspiration, we used a John Deere coloring book. If you aren't crafty or don't have the time to make the invitations yourself, you can always go online and print out John Deere invitations that are already made. They are very cute!
The theme colors for our shower were green and yellow. It being a John Deere themed baby shower, of course you would have these colors! I believe if it is a baby shower for a girl, you should incorporate a little hot pink to the decor for a festive yet frilly look.
And don't be afraid to throw in some flowers, even if the shower is for a boy! We got green removable wall flower stickers for our baby shower. We also put green and yellow streamers over the table along with some green and yellow table cloths. We also made it feel like a farm to really bring out the tractor theme! We brought in some hay bales and placed them all over. You can use a picket fence, to make it feel even more like a farm, but we just used big white paper and painted a fence onto it with flowers on it and put them around the walls. Cardboard was used to make a "barn door", and it was put at the front door. We used paint and markers. But if you do a large project, I recommend putting a protector on the wall, and draw the barn door, and paint it out.
We went all out, and used flower pots and plants all over the room and even created a fake garden. We placed plastic on our floor, and lined up artificial plants on it. For dirt, we ripped up brown paper, and put it on the plastic paper. We also added some scarecrows and paper crows on the fence. We cut out animals out of cardboard and painted them. We scattered them all over the downstairs of the house. Other decorations we used (which would also make excellent baby gifts) were a little John Deere tractor pedal bike, mini tractors on the tables and even a John Deere gift basket full of all sorts of green and yellow items as the centerpiece.
That is what we did for my nephews baby shower, and it turned out absolutely amazing. It was fun, but it was a lot of hard work. But, in the end, it was worth it.
