Corelle Dishes: Oven Safe Temperatures & Care Guide

Corelle dishes are made from a special type of glass that makes the pieces durable even though they're thin. Corelle dinnerware is generally oven safe at temperatures up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Corelle Dishes in the Oven

Corelle dishes are safe to use in the oven, as long as the temperature is not set above 350 degrees Fahrenheit. To reheat food on Corelle dishware, place the dish in a preheated low-temperature oven.

Special Considerations

Some Corelle dishware may contain attachments such as feet and handles. These pieces are only safe in the oven at temperatures up to 248 degrees Fahrenheit.

Warning

  • Because Corelle dishes are made from a type of glass, do not place chilled dishes in a hot oven, as the abrupt temperature change may cause them to shatter. Likewise, do not place a hot dish upon a wet surface or place an oven-heated dish in the refrigerator or freezer while the plate is hot. Allow oven- or microwave-heated dishes to cool before placing them in dishwater as well.

Skip the Broiler

Corelle dishes may be safe in the oven, but they're not broiler-safe. Do not use them when the oven is set to broil. The dishes should also not be placed atop hot stove burners or in toaster ovens. They're also not designed for use over an open flame such as a grill.
