Kirby vacuum cleaners use a disposable filtration dust bag housed within a permanent bag to collect dust, dirt and other debris. As with other bag-style vacuum cleaners, this bag requires replacement if the bag is defective or becomes full.
The Kirby Company has manufactured and sold several generations of Kirby upright vacuums since the 1920s. As of 2011, Kirby distributes vacuums and other home care products to more than 70 countries.
Kirby distributes three main groups of filter bags: Micron Magic standard Twist- and F-Style bags for basic dust collection, Micron Magic Particle Arrest Twist- and F-Style bags that provide additional filtration and Micron Magic Allergen Reduction Twist- and F-Style bags that provide 99.97-percent filtration.
Check with your local Kirby distributor to find the bag that you need for your vacuum, or call Kirby at 800-437-7170. Purchase your bags. Turn off and unplug your Kirby vacuum after you purchase the new bags, remove the used filtration bag from the nondisposable permanent vacuum bag, dispose of the bag and install a new one.
