Most of us conscious of the classic Disney Princess storylines and characters until you've been residing in a cave for the last 50 years. In the event you are a girl, regardless of what age you're, you most likely saw a film or had a novel about Snow White, Sleeping Beauty or Cinderella. These characters have existed for a long time as well as the Disney Company has put fantastic animated films out telling their stories.
Some may believe that any of the Disney character girls, like Alice or Tinker Bell in Wonderland for instance, could be called a Disney Princess. Not so. What exactly does it require to qualify as an official Disney Princess just a little history may help reveal the differentiation.
Disney's Consumer Products division hired Andy Mooney to assist fight dropping sales. Shortly after that Mooney attended his first Disney. He discovered how many young girls were dressed as princesses while waiting in line. They were not even Disney products, as he says. They were princess merchandises that are generic. A need was seen by Mooney and it filled. Shortly after an official Disney Princess line was introduced.
Mooney decided on a mixture of new and old heroines to join the official Princess lineup. This list shows the primary film they starred in

- Cinderella (Cinderella,1950)
- Aurora (Sleeping Beauty,1959)
- Ariel (The Little Mermaid,1989)
- Belle (Beauty and the Beast,1991)
- Jasmine (Aladdin,1992)
- Pocahontas (Pocahontas,1995)
- Mulan (Mulan,1998)
- Tiana (The Princess and the Frog, 2009)
Tinker Bell was considered a component of the Princess lineup but is heading up her own section; the Disney Fairies.
All the official Disney lineup of Princesses has her own tune, color palette and character cameo, her very own icon and total profile unique to just that Princess.
Little girls who would like to emulate their preferred Princess can get everything from bandaids to back packs. And when they're able play dress up at home, or to attend a princess gathering, including Disney on Ice or go trick or treating for Halloween, you'll find tons of Disney costumes for Princesses for each age. There are Princess costumes beginning bunting infant costumes right through grownup Princess costumes for mother, granny, big aunts and sisters.
Baby Princess Costumes focuses on the toddler and baby sizes of costumes and Fancy Princess dresses, most of which are official Disney costumes. Nearly all of the Disney official Princess line of costumes has Ballerina variation a Storybook variation, and Baby variation, but this is not all. There are lots of variations readily available for the Princesses. There are 7 variations of Cinderella costumes that are grownup and five kid Cinderella costumes. Along with the costumes there are Disney slippers, wands, tiaras and shoes to complete the costumes.
Although Disney does handle their Princesses well not every Elaborate Princess is a portion of the Disney queue. Some Princesses are either part of some other organization or maybe somewhat more independently minded. There are toddlers costumes and baby princess for for Princess Fiona from Shrek for instance, and Princess Leia. The Pumpkin Princess costume is incredibly amazing and fairly popular. As well as the Candy Corn Princess is really popular there are costumes for even a dog Candy Corn costume and each size from baby, child, adolescent and adult.
Therefore I am hoping that clears things up a bit. Obviously the Disney official Princess queue is open. More Princesses will soon be added. Disney has announced a brand new addition. The Disney film Tangled stars Rapunzel, who is going to be added to the official Princess roll of Disney.
The moral of the story (Princess narratives will have a moral) is the Disney Princess line was born because little girls like to dress up in Princess clothing. And any parent will adore ooohing and aaahing over their small Princess, start with Baby Princess Costumes.
