Valentine’s Week List 2020 starts from February 7 and goes on till February 14. Valentine's Day has been named after St. Valentine, who was a Catholic clergyman from Rome during the third century. Many stories are associated with this Saint, which resulted in this Valentine's Day. During his time, many Romans were adopting Christianity. On the other hand, Emperor Claudius II made strict rules for Christians as he was a pagan. He believed that Roman soldiers should always be devoted to Rome, as a result of which, he made a law to prevent them from getting married. Hagiography said, St. Valentine started to help the couples to get married in secret Christian ceremonies. This restricted the men from being soldiers, so there were sent away. This incident showed his belief in the importance of love. Predominantly, the celebration of Valentine's Day was much associated with religion, but now it has become a popular tradition worldwide.
