QuestionI have been eating right and working out for approx. 3-4 weeks now and have lost nothing.
My typical daily diet consists of:
Breakfast: Banana, 1 Whole wheat toast with crunchy peanut butter and suger free-fat free jam
Lunch: Salad with cucumbers, broccoli, alfalfa sprouts, carrots and dressing: rasberry vinagarette, cup of soup, usually vegetable or chicken noodle, cup of fresh fruit (strawberries, melon or pineapple)
Dinner: Grilled chicken with bar-b-que sauce, vegetables (green beans or mixed), sometimes a cup of rice
Snacks: either an orange or grapefruit
Fitness routine atleast 5-6 days a week consists of:
30-40 minutes of cardio (bike or Elliptical machine)
20 minutes of crunches, light weight training, lunges, etc.
In addition, I drink 6-8 glasses of water, never have pop or juice, take a multi-vitamin daily and even tried TrimSpa. I am currently also on birth control (orthotrycyclen).
WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? I DON'T GET IT.
AnswerHello Mary,
Great question. I see a few areas where there can be changes. I'm going to provide you with a few articles to read over that will help. Also, I have a complete program out that shares it in much more detail. If you'd like just email me markshields@verizon.net and I'd be happy to send you a few audio files from my CD on nutrition.

This article refers to weight training. I know you mentioned light weights, but don't be afraid to lift heavier weights, if you're not challenging yourself and pushing yourself then you're not forcing your muscles to change.
