QuestionHello, i'm in my mid 30's & I'm currently in a
nutrition/workout program. However, i came across some of
your answers regarding green tea for boosting metabolism.
I've heard about green teas' potential, but in my opinion,
its just not too pleasing in the pallete. it's either too
bitter or it has this certain odor to it. Or maybe i'm just
buying the wrong brand? I've been to asian store but
there's just too many to choose from. Do you have any
preference/brand you can recommend? & is Jasmin Tea just as
potent? if so you have any brand you can recommend too? I
previously bought this green tea in yellow can & it just
didn't taste & smell right. Eventually i resorted to the
pre-made Arizona or Lipton Diet Green Tea - really taste
good though. But are they just as potent as you said?
I appreciate any input you can give. Thanks!
Regards,
JB
AnswerHi JB,
I agree that some type of green tea taste terrible. Try not to get the ones in a can. They might be too strong for your pallete. Instead try "TenRen" brand, most people/tea house like this brand.
Jasmine tea can also increase your metabolism, however research shows that green tea is more beneficial to our health.
Tea increases our metabolism, however if you are serious about losing weight, you might also want to add foods that are rich in resistant starch (indigestible starch) to your diet because they have stronger effect in boosting our metabolism.
In this video, I discuss about the benefit of resistant starch.
