QuestionEveryone seems to have questions about serious jewelry- fine stones and
gold. I just want to make simple things. I'm talking about earrings you see at
a little shop for $12-24 and any kind of necklace or anything that goes along
with that. It has been suggested as a hobby for me and that I see if anyone
wants to buy them sometime. I can't afford expensive equipment. I'm trying
to get ideas of how to make things. I keep finding earring instructions online
but I don't know if these are copyrighted. There are plenty of things to
choose from at the local bead shops, which also sell wire and eyepins and
everything. But how do I come up with something that isn't someone's
copyrighted design?
AnswerGreeting and my apologies for the slow response.
I answered this question some time ago and it has now re-appeared. Not sure what happened but obviously I did something wrong.
The only thing to suggest is to get some bits and pieces and play.....that's how most people begin.
Also try drawing some pix and then try to fit what you have or buy pieces to create the earrings.
The more you do the easier it becomes. And the more you make the more ideas you will have.
Its a bit like cooking, as you get the hang of it, you begin to experiment and freelance.
Good Luck and Cheers, P
