QuestionHello,
I use L'oreal's dermo expertise, advanced revitalift night cream every day on my face
It has Pro-Retinol and and Pro-Lastyl as active ingredients, is it safe to use them?
Thanks,
AnswerDear "coolslife",
I can find no actual contraindications to this product, nor can I find any to Pro-Retinol A or Pro-Lastyl. The only ingredient in the product that jumps out at me is caffeine, but typically the amount of any ingredient that your body would absorb with topical application to a small area is minimal and usually harmless.
I will give you the list of ingredients so that if you would like to take the list to your OB doctor to have them look it over and determine whether he/she wants you to limit use, you certainly can.
Ingredients:
Aqua/Water; Cyclopentasiloxane; Glycerin; C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate; Shorea Robusta/Shorea Robusta Seed Butter; Stearic Acid; Palmitic Acid; PEG-100 Stearate; Glyceryl Stearate; Paraffin; PEG-20 Stearate; Acrylamides/Sodium Acryloyldimethyltaurate; Copolymer; Stearyl Alcohol; Caffeine; Cetyl Alcohol; Isohexadecane; Glycine Soja/Soybean Protein; Acetyl Trifluoromethylphenyl Valylglycine; Crithmum Maritimum/Crithmum Maritimum Extract; Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride; Polysorbate 80; Triethanolamine; Retinyl Palmitate; Acrylates Copolymer; Polycaprolactone; Myristyl Alcohol; Methylparaben; Propylparaben; Chlorhexidine Digluconate; Chlorphenesin; Sodium Dehydroacetate
I hope this information has helped you and answered your question. I wish you well.
