NuvaRing Side Effects & Switching from YAZ: What to Do?

Question
I have been taking YAZ for 7 months and switched to nuvaring on Sunday. I have had terrible cramping and feel extremely tired yet I cant sleep, Its only been 2 going on 3 days of using the nuvaring. Can I take it out and go back to my YAZ or do I need to use it for this month? If I can start back on the YAZ this month, how would I start taking the pills? Double up as if I had missed pills, start on a certain day into the pack? I dont wanna completely mess up my cycle but I dont feel like myself and am not sure if Id like to stick the month out on this method. What would be the consequence of doing that or just taking it out at this point? Thank you.

Answer
Hi Sarah,

Thanks for your question. Sorry for the delay but I just now got to your question. What did you decide to do. I would suggest that you talk to your doctor if you haven't already. But in my opinion, it sounds like you should get the nuvaring taken out. It sounds like you may have side effects from it. I don't usually recommend the nuvaring and also any kind of hormonal birth control. Did you have any side effects from the pill?

Let me know if you have made a decision yet or if I can still advise you. You may email me at DWooley97@aol.com so we can talk more.
