QuestionI am 4 months pregnant and like any soon to be parent I cant wait to see what my baby will look like. I am white and the father is half Thai, I am particularly intrigued because I have never seen a quarter white person .
I have light mousey hair (blonde when younger) blue eyes and fair skin. My mother has brown hair fair skin and blue eyes, my father has blonde curly hair fair skin and hazel yes.
My partner has black hair, brown eyes and dark tanned skin, his mother is Thai with dark skin brown eyes and black hair, and his father is fair skinned with brown hair and blue eyes.
I know there is no way of telling for sure, but I would just like to know the probability.
Thanks,
Angeline
AnswerSince your husband's father had blue eyes, you should have at least a 25% chance of having a child with blue eyes. Your child may have blonde hair when young, but is almost certain to have brown hair as an adult. Like the blue eyes, your child has a small chance of having fair skin, but is more likely to at least have skin that easily tans. Regardless of the combination you end up with, children of mixed heritage are often the most beautiful.
Congratulations on your new baby!
