We use ghee as an edible oil. But yes, it can also be used for beauty purposes too. Though the idea of applying ghee on face may sound funny, it works wonders.
Health Benefits Of Ghee
So, is ghee good for the face? Ghee works well on your skin as it seeps into it and moisturises it. This way, it can be a soothing agent on dry skin.
Using a lip balm is okay but if you have the habit of using ghee on your lips, you will never need that lip balm. Ghee heals your lips.
Though fitness freaks hate ghee as they perceive it as a fatty food, it still has its own health benefits. But of course, we are talking about using it for beauty purposes in this post.
Making Homemade Ghee With Aroma
Now, let us discuss how to use ghee for face and hair.
Applying ghee on face makes your facial skin glow. Massage your face with 2 drops of ghee before shower.
Dry lips need a lip balm. But you can do without it. Rub a few drops of ghee on your lips every evening before bed. Your lips become soft and well-hydrated.
Warm up a teaspoon of ghee and simply smear it to the split ends of your hair. After one hour, wash it off.
Poor sleep may cause dark circles around your eyes. Try this remedy. Gently massage the skin under your eyes with a small drop of ghee every night before sleeping. After waking up, wash your face.
Simply wipe your skin around your eyes with a cotton that is dipped in a few drops of ghee. Remove your eye makeup using ghee.
Take a break from the chemical moisturiser you are using. Every morning before you go to bath, massage your skin with half a teaspoon of ghee. This is a good way of making your skin soft and moisturised.
Take a teaspoon of 'besan' powder and add a few drops of ghee and milk to it to form a paste. Apply this paste to your face as a pack and wash after 15 minutes.
Take a few drops of olive oil and mix it with a few drops of warm ghee. First, massage the scalp with this mixture and then apply it to the strands. After 15 minutes, you can wash your hair.
