Don’t you wonder how cool it would have been to get those soft supple elbows which you had as a child? How can you get rid of the elbow patches that are now darkened and dried by keeping them on the benches or office desks for hours?
Here are some great, easy and quick remedies for treating elbow patches:
Different Scrubs for elbows-You can make use of any of these scrubs while taking bath .

Grind brown sugar and store it in a jar . When u need to scrub your elbows , take about half teaspoon of it and mix with half teaspoon of olive oil and massage in circular motions on the elbows and wash off while taking bath. This ratio should be increased as per requirement.
Coarse ground plain sugar and honey in the same ratio of above is also good .
If you have dark patches then make a paste of baking soda or soda bi carb and mix it with about 1teaspoon to half a teaspoon of orange juice or lime or lemon juice and massage and scrub the area for about 2 minutes , then wash off.
If you skin at the elbows are very dry and scally then first splash you elbows with warm water and then gently scrub the area with pumice stone directly or with any type of apricot scrub (apricot scrub since it’s granules are more coarse ) for about 5minutes. Then wash off with warm water.
After bath you should moisturize the area with a heavy moisturizer or petroleum jelly or glycerin .
Massage any of the following treatment lotions at night in circular motions and you’ll notice a relative difference within a week of continued routined use.
Mix in a bowl equal quantities of Baby oil, Pure olive oil and Petroleum jelly and store in a dried container . Massage this on to your elbows before going to bed at night. With continued use, the dry scales of skin at the elbows will disappear.
Ingredients: Take some time out and make yourself a good night moisturizing balm for your elbows by melting in indirect heat or by heating the oven at 180 degree F ,1/4 cup beeswax finely shopped ,1 cup cocoa butter and 1 cup shea butter along with ½ cup of jojoba oil and ½ cup of Olive oil. After they are all melted , mix well and store in a dry airtight container . Use at night before bed.
Extra treatment for excessive dry patches at elbows.
Cut a pair of old socks as elbow badges and rub on the inner surface (the surface that will be sticking to your elbow skin after u wear it ) with a mixture of glycerin and petroleum jelly. Follow this step after massaging of step 3 . Wear this sock badge through out the night and remove over night.
This helps to keep the area warm which in turn helps in absorption of the petroleum jelly and glycerin into the skin. You can also use any shortening fat for this like Crisco or vegetable oil also.
Tip: The same treatments can be used for great smooth knees also.
