In the hair removal world, every woman wants to know of a budget-friendly option that prevents hair to grow quickly without disturbing the body during the procedure, and not to forget a method that will help those ingrown hairs gone for long!
But the big question remains: Which hair removal technique should we prefer? As with any method and beauty treatments, we all need to compare the cost against many factors, such as effectiveness and even pain factor. So in order to make things easier for you, we decided to break down on the most popular and easy hair removal techniques that have helped us figure out our favourite, we hope it will help you too…
One of the most temporary methods, shaving, by far is one of the quick and easiest ways of hair removal. It removes the hair from the skin surface but not from the hair roots. Usually shaving results in a faster growth of hair, of course somewhat thicker too. Hair grows back within one to three days after shaving. Always use a sharp blade and some type of moisturizer to the skin before shaving. Remember to also avoid shaving the facial areas. You can use threading or waxing for the hair removal on facial areas for better results.
Removing the tiniest hair, traditional threading is done with double strong thread strands by twisting single hair and pulling it from roots, with the help of both fingers and your mouth. A normal eyebrow threading process takes ten to fifteen minutes and the cost is relatively cheap other than the costs of shaving or waxing. Additionally, threading is a better hair removal technique when it comes to the removal of the chin, upper lip and eyebrow hairs. This is for the simple fact that is more accurate with the hair removal from a smaller and more delicate surface area.
This method is specifically applicable only to your eyebrows and sometimes stray hairs on your face. However, tweezing or plucking can equally be time-consuming if you have thick and dense eyebrows. A little difficult for large areas, once your eyebrows hair is long enough, pick a tweezer and remove all the extras, but be careful as this may cause may cause pitting or scarring if not done properly. For perfectly groomed brows use Marks & Spencer’s inexpensive tweezer which is sharp in grip and allows precision in plucking.
In other words, women’s saviour, waxing helps remove large amounts of hair at one time.
Begin by testing your wax, apply a small amount and check if it’s at a comfortable spreading temperature. Next, apply a thick wax mixture on the skin and adhere the cloth strip properly, then pull the hair out of the follicles in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Waxing is mostly suitable for facial, body and bikini line hair removal depending on the waxing mixture type. And depending on the types, the thickness of the wax mixture and methods also vary. Our favourite is The Nair Brazilian Spa Clay Roll-On Wax.
Waxing removes the hairs from the root and the hair that grows back after waxing grows thinner. The hair removal technique of waxing may be a painful process for the first time, but the pain reduces with regular usage. Also, you can sprinkle Johnson’s baby powder before waxing so that the cloth absorbs any excess moisture.
Tip: By repeatedly pulling your hair may damage your follicle and prevent you from producing more hair.
