Achieve Radiant Skin: 15 Proven Tips for a Healthy Glow
The truth is that we all love glowing and healthy skin and want to keep it that way forever. The sad part is that as our skin begins to age, the radiance and the healthy glow keeps diminishing.
Of course you cannot hold on to your age, but you can surely slow down the loss of glow and radiance from your skin! Wondering on how to get radiant glowing skin back? Here are a few simple tips for you to follow:
15 Simple Tips for Healthy and Radiant Glowing Skin:
The following fifteen tips will help you keep that healthy glow on:
1. Vitamin Requirements:
The first and most important thing to maintain a healthy skin is to look beautiful from the inside. A healthy body will lead to a healthy mind and skin.
One of the most important vitamins you should take is vitamin C
Vitamin C helps in cell regeneration
It keeps the skin fresh from the inside
It boosts up the collagen and tissue building properties and also keeps up with the skin’s elasticity.
It is essential to have a proper diet consisting of citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, or just a glass of fresh lime water, mangoes, kiwis, broccoli and even tomatoes or bell peppers. All of these can boost up the vitamin C intake in your diet
This will help your skin absorb the benefits of the essential ingredients of your moisturizer that you apply from the outside
It will also protect your skin from the inside by protecting against sun burn and tanning
2. Don’t Forget Exfoliation:
CTM, i.e. the cleansing, toning and moisturizing routine is an important step in your skin care routine. Equally important is exfoliation.
Exfoliation should happen right after the cleansing step
Use a mild scrubbing product for your face depending on your skin type (use a mild one if you have pimple prone skin, because scrubbing on a rash or a sensitive area can cause more breakouts)
Use this at least 3 times a week
Follow it up with toning and moisturizing.
Skin that is not exfoliated gathers up to ten times more weight with clogged pores and dead skin cells.
3. Switch Over with Seasons:
It is a good idea to modify your skin care routines with the changes of seasons namely, during the summer or spring.
Switch to oil control face packs or light toners and oil control face washes during summers.
For monsoons, use the anti-bacterial and deep cleansing face washes.
You can also use some herbal anti-bacterial masks of neem during summers and monsoon
During winters, switch over to hydrating foot care lotions and moisturizing skin care products.
Use deep nourishing toners and lip balms to help keep your skin nourished and smooth
4. Ban the Chemicals:
Be a little skin conscious and don’t get lured by the fabulous advertisements you see.
The next time you purchase a sunscreen or a lotion or any other skin care product, try reading the list of active ingredients.
Select the ones containing natural oils like olive oils, eucalyptus oil, tea tree oil or similar things.
Stay away from the ones which contain chemicals (toxic chemicals in fact) like sulphate, parabens etc.
Choose a pH balanced face wash
Avoid switching over products too frequently as our skin takes time to adjust to new ingredients.
Make sure to read the expiry dates printed at the backs of tubes or at the crimps.
5. Practice Yoga:
Yoga is a natural way to keep your body and mind healthy.
Practice some inverted poses. It is believed that they help control aging and help to maintain a healthy glow by stimulating the circulation and relaxing your muscles.
Two poses are believed to be especially great for this – the downward dog pose and the lion face.
Be very careful while doing these poses, especially if you are new to yoga. Make sure you learn them from a proper instructor first.
6. Fake Tan:
If you are looking at getting a nice bronze tan, stop burning yourself in the sun.
Use a fake bronzer to get that awesome tan.
Start from besides the ear (the higher-most part of the start of your jawline)
Extend up to the perimeter of the face till below the start of your eye near the nose
Dust on some darker pink blush on the hollows of your cheeks
End with a pinkish blush on the apples of your cheeks.
