Come April 17th our fashionista Victoria Beckham, will turn 40.
This lady has a stunning fashion sense that has evolved over the years. She rose to fame as a part of an all-girls band – Spice Girls. In 2008, she started her own label which offered modern luxury clothing. Since then, she has had millions of fashion lovers as her fans. She truly has come a long way from the Spice Girls’ days to her solo music career and finally as an international style icon. In fact, her fashion career helped her win more hearts and fame than her music.
Born in 1974 in Harlow, Victoria is married to the international football player, David Beckham. Despite being 40 (almost), the diva looks as young and fresh as dew. She is loved for her style and her eclectic personality. A closer look at her face makes me wonder – had the clock stopped for her? Will she ever age?
Age is never on anyone’s side unless you are a teenager. You need to learn to make it work in your favour. Victoria is a self-confessed beauty enthusiastic. She takes real good care of her skin. There is no magic as such behind her mesmerising looks and young looking skin. She credits her good looking skin to proper caring and using right kind of products.
Victoria is said to treat her skin with special anti-aging facials. These facials feature ingredients such as sheep placenta and gold flakes. These help keep the skin young and healthy.
She is also known to visit her dermatologist, Harold Lancer, in Beverly Hills for anti-aging treatments. This treatment is done by using gold particles and animal stem cells and it costs nearly $500. She is said to be a true devotee of Dr. Lancer’s skin products. She credits these products for treating her skin to instant results and leave her skin glowing and also help in reducing wrinkles.
Victoria also reportedly uses a face cream named Nightingale Dropping Face Cream and ‘Nightingale Poo’ facial. These are said to be highly-priced and made available usually on request.
This cream is made up of excrement of a rare bird from the Japanese island of Kyushu. This is combined with bee venom and it works to plump up the skin.
The droppings used in making this cream are purified using UV light and then it is mixed with rice bran to neutralize odours. Natural enzymes work by breaking down dead cells and also results in the cleansed skin.
She is also said to use ‘The Dracula Facial’. This again has a slightly spooky procedure to keep the skin looking young, healthy and beautiful.
Dr. Sister, a London-based anti-aging expert, has developed this therapy. The therapy involves an individual to take the sample of her own blood. In the first stage, it is mixed with vitamin C and amino acids. This mixture is then injected on to the face directly on cheeks, forehead, smile-lines and skin around the eyes.
After this is completed, therapy moves to the second phase where fractional laser is used to destroy the microscopic dots caused by the injection.
After a week of the second phase, the third phase of Carboxy Therapy begins. Here carbon dioxide is pumped inside the skin using small pins. This whole therapy dilates the blood vessels, increases the flow of blood and the oxygen levels which helps in keeping the skin healthy and younger.
Gold Leaf Facial is also one the main secrets behind the younger looking skin of Victoria. Priced at £350, this facial offers beautifying properties like helping the skin fight damaging free radicals. It is said that Cleopatra slept every night wearing a gold mask to keep the beauty of her face.
