Emergency Fake Nail Adhesives: Alternatives When Glue is Gone

I understand you're in a bind! It's not ideal to be without nail glue, but here are some alternative methods for temporarily attaching fake nails:

Temporary Solutions (For a Day or Two):

* Clear Nail Polish: Apply a thick coat of clear nail polish to your natural nail and the back of the fake nail. Press the fake nail firmly onto your natural nail and hold for a few seconds. The polish will act as an adhesive but likely won't last for very long.

* Super Glue (Use with Extreme Caution): A tiny drop of super glue applied to the back of the fake nail can hold it in place. Be very careful – super glue is strong and can damage your natural nail if applied incorrectly.

* Masking Tape: Cut a small piece of masking tape, fold it in half, and stick it to the back of the fake nail. Apply it to your natural nail, pressing firmly. This method is very temporary and prone to peeling off.

* Hairspray: This is the most temporary solution. Spray the back of the fake nail with hairspray and press it onto your natural nail. This method is unlikely to hold for very long, and the hairspray might make the fake nails look dull.

Important Considerations:

* Durability: These temporary solutions are not as durable as nail glue. Be prepared for the fake nails to come off sooner.

* Safety: Use super glue very sparingly and carefully. It can be dangerous if it comes in contact with your skin or eyes.

* Damage: These methods might damage your natural nails, especially if they are used repeatedly.

* Long-Term Solution: The best course of action is to go to a drugstore or beauty supply store to purchase nail glue.

If you're looking for a more permanent solution, it's best to use proper nail glue.
