Hey girls, its summer and some of you must have planned a pool party or are taking a vacation off to Goa beach isn’t it? So here’s providing you with some splashy ideas which you can flaunt at a pool or beach party.

Since you are going for a pool party, things on your mind would be either to have a pool volley ball game or you would just like to splash around in the water or may be just dance at the pool side to some funky party music.

Let’s start with the dress-Well the first thing that comes to your mind while talking about pool, beach, water & party is bikini outfit. Well, you can wear cool two piece of pastel shades like bubblegum pink or light green olive or even a light orange shade.

But if u wanna rock at a pool party set in the evening then u can obviously wear a daring zebra or leopard print bikini.

Well if you are not a bikini fan then you should go for sleeve less tops or spaghetti tops combined with shorts of pastel or nude colors or just a cool pair of denim short. You can also hop into a mini skirt if you want to.

Makeup for pool party:

When at a pool party or at a beach and you are planning to splash in the water then you must not wear too much of foundation cuz it’ll come out ultimately with the water and your face won’t look good at all. So you can do the following for pool party makeup.

• Base- Clean your face, tone it and apply a SPF sunscreen or base cream which is lightly tinted and thats all. If you have blemish on your skin, then use a stick concealer after using the sunscreen. Stick concealers are mainly waterproof.

• Eyes– If it’s a day party then obviously the pastel shades matching to your pastel bikinis would be great. Line your under eye waterlines with kajal (cuz kajal is waxy and generally water resistant) or with coloured liquid WATERPROOF eye liner like olive green/orange/sky blue /or just simple plain black on the lower and upper eye lines.

If it’s an evening party, then you can go for a smokey eye look with black and grey coloured eye shadow .

Avoid extended and broad lining cuz it will be a total mess if it gets smudged by the water. For the lid opt for powdered and not cream eye shadows of pastel colors matching to you funky dress like light blue/light bubblegum pink and so on.

If you are planning to use mascara, then make sure it’s absolutely smudge proof and water resistant.

• Lips– Line your lips with a liner darker than your lipstick shade. Shades like nude or coral would be great, like light pink, light peach, light orange or light mauve ,if you want finish off with a gloss otherwise just don’t wear any lipstick just gloss up your lips after lining them with a coloured gloss and you will be done with the lips.

• Completion of the makeup– Pat you face with a compact after you’re done with lips and don’t forget to carry it in your bag along with the kajal or eye liner and lipstick or lip gloss, so that if by chance you makeup gets all smudged after u come out the pool or u get wet still you can go to the wash room and fix it up.

Hair:

Your hair fixing should be such that even if you are planning to splash in the water that shouldn’t make you hair look that bad after you’re all wet.

Straighten your hair and make a section from the middle and let it flow like that only. Or go for braided pigtails on two sides. You can also just tie you hair up in a bun and fix a plastic flower in it.

Accessories:

You can obviously carry a small clutch matching to your dress color. It’s best not to wear heavy jewellery, but you can wear a water resistant watch and also smart shades.

If it’s in the day time, and you’re at a fantastic beach you can wear a cool bamboo stick hat too.

Footwear:

For a pool party it’s best to go for flat heels and flat flip flops. Don’t make a fool of yourself by wearing fashionable stilletoes.
