Ideas on Makeup in 5 minutes

Look 1: Sudden call for a meeting

When you have only 5 minutes in hand but still need to look great try this quick look

Products needed:

You will need four things for this makeup tutorial (one is optional for oily skinned beauties):

  • Tinted lotion or foundation
  • Compact (optional )
  • Lipstick (preferably a dark shade suiting your skin tone)
  • Kajal

Steps:

  • Start with washing your face and cleaning the oil and dirt and if you were wearing any makeup previously.
  • Take some foundation or tinted moisturiser. Dab on the face and neck and also on the under eye & over the lids. As we don’t have much time, quickly blend all of the lotion or foundation with your ring finger.
  • Add some pressed powder to set it. This step is totally optional and is required only if you have oily skin to keep the oil at bay
  • Line your eyes with a waterproof kajal and line your upper lashes and also waterline to define your eyes. Keep it simple and just tight line the eyes.

  • Next take your lipstick and simply fill up your lips and bolt and reapply another layer to make it stay longer.

  • Then take a little of the lipstick in your ring finger and use it as an eye shadow. Blend it using your fingers. You can intensify your eye shadow using more amount of lipstick .don’t apply any lipstick above the crease as it will transfer easily and spread.

And you are finished. Just brush your hair or leave it open and you are good to go.

Products used for the above look:

  • Lacto calamine lotion
  • Lakme perfect radiance compact
  • Avon 2 in 1 kajal with smudger
  • Lotus pure color lipstick carnation

Look 2: Quick party makeup

Have to attend a party all of a sudden but don’t have much time? Then this look can be a life saver.

Products needed

  • Foundation/moisturiser
  • Compact
  • Colourful eye pencil
  • Kajal
  • Lipstick

Steps:

  • Clean your face of all dirt, oil and previous makeup and apply the moisturiser or foundation over face and neck, also apply under your eyes and over the lids to conceal your dark circles.
  • You may add some pressed powder to keep the foundation in place. For those of you with dry skin, you may skip this step.
  • Take out the coloured eye pencil (best if it is bright and has sparkles), use it as a shadow for your eyes, by swiping some colour from the pencil on the lids and blending it with fingers. You may also line the lower lash line with this pencil if you wish.

  • Take your kajal and apply it both to the upper and lower lash lines. You may use it to make a winged shape or create a flick if you want to add more drama to your Smokey eyes.
  • Blend evenly and blend the colour into the crease. Then use the same kajal to create a V shape on the outer corner of your eyes and blend again to create a Smokey eye look (you may use an ear bud for this if you have one). Now repeat the steps for the other eye too.
  • Lastly fill your pout with the lipstick

  • Take a little lipstick and gently dab on the apple of your cheeks as a blush, or you may use a tinted lip balm for this step too. Use some more lipstick if you want to intensify the colour of the blush. Top it with a little compact to set it. And you are ready to go.
