Lip glosses are every girl’s favorite cosmetic product – they are non messy, easy to apply and never over the top. Colorbar has some fantastic lip glosses, few in number, but fabulous nevertheless.
Here I am listing my top five Colorbar lip gloss shades that suit Indian skin tones and look fabulous.
This pretty shade is brownish pink, leaning more towards an earthy brown. Unlike most lip glosses, this provides full coverage, more like liquefied lipstick ;) It comes in a super cute tiny tube and has a doe foot sponge applicator for application. It has no shimmer and gives an opaque coverage. The glossy effect fades after a while, but the color stays till the end and gives a nice tint to the lips. At Rs. 275/- it sure is a good deal. The staying power is a neat four hours. The one problem is it dries the lips, so swipe on your best lip balm underneath.
How creative is the name of the lipgloss?! Call My Agent is a rusty shade, with beige undertones. It has super micro shimmer which won’t make you look like a disco ball. It’s flattering on Indian skin tones, and is perfect as office wear too. It comes in a regular lip gloss tube and a brush applicator. The lipgloss is thick and stays put for at least four hours. The colour gives a wet finish to the lips and as it is thick, it’s transferrable. The only drawback is, when the colour fades, the shimmer remains and it requires a good make up remover to get rid of the shimmer.
Is the prettiest lip gloss or is this the prettiest lip gloss? How I love the coral shade! This lip gloss is a wonderful warm, coral that is fun, flirty and summery. It has reddish undertones making it wearable for light as well as dark skin tones. The lip gloss comes in a tube and has a doe foot applicator. It’s red and looks neon in the tube, but when applied, it’s a gorgeous, gorgeous coral. It stays a good five hours after which it fades. A stain remains back though, no sheen, just pale color.
008 Scandal is a super pretty raspberry red, the one with excessive tones of pink and red. It’s a cool toned lip gloss that looks great on fairer skin tones. It might wash out darker skins though. Pigmentation is decent, not too high, and not too low. It goes sheer on the lips. Staying power is around 3 hours as it’s not pigmented much. If you want to try red lip colors and don’t know where to start from, 008 Scandal is a good start. It will sort you out to start with.
This one is a true warm coral pink with red undertone. It’s redder than Colorbar True Gloss Lip gloss in Nectar Orange. It has micro shimmer which isn’t gritty; you won’t feel a thing on your lips. It comes in a simple lip gloss tube and a brush applicator. It is pigmented well and stays put for at least four hours. When it fades, it leaves back a nice shade of pink. Though it’s on the thicker side, it’s completely non sticky.
So girls, these are my top five Colorbar lip glosses. Let me know which your favorites are!
