Removing Glitter
* Sticky Tape: This is a classic! Press a piece of clear tape (like Scotch tape) onto the glittery area and lift it off. Repeat as needed.
* Duct Tape: For tougher glitter, duct tape can be more effective.
* Lint Roller: A lint roller works well, especially for larger glitter particles.
* Baby Oil or Coconut Oil: Massage a bit of oil onto the glittery area, then wipe it away with a soft cloth.
* Makeup Remover: Use a gentle makeup remover on a cotton pad.
* Soap and Water: This works for loose glitter, but might not get rid of embedded glitter.
* Baking Soda Paste: Mix baking soda with a little water to make a paste. Gently rub it on the glittery area, then rinse.
* Exfoliating Scrub: A gentle exfoliating scrub can help remove glitter that has gotten stuck in pores.
Preventing Glitter
* Apply a barrier: Before applying glitter, use a thin layer of lotion, oil, or even hairspray. This will help keep the glitter from sticking to your skin as easily.
* Use glitter glue: Glitter glue is designed to hold glitter in place, but it also makes it easier to remove.
* Use a glitter brush: Use a brush specifically designed for applying glitter to apply it more precisely.
* Apply sparingly: The less glitter you use, the less you have to worry about removing it later.
* Wear gloves: If you're working with a lot of glitter, wear gloves to protect your hands.
Important Note: If you have sensitive skin, test any of these methods on a small area first to make sure it doesn't cause irritation.
