Everybody knows and loves the Kardashian/Jenner clan, and aside from swatching new lipsticks on her Snapchat story daily, youngest sister, Kylie Jenner, has just made history. Like, actual history.
The 22-year-old has topped Forbes’ list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women for the second year in a row thanks to her makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics.
Forbes have revealed that the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner klan has retained her title on this year's billionaire list, with a net worth of $1 billion. Woah.
On Forbes' website, they state: "At 21, celebrity-turned-makeup mogul Kylie Jenner became the youngest self-made billionaire ever. In November 2019, she agreed to sell 51% of her Kylie Cosmetics to beauty giant Coty Inc. for $600 million. The deal, which closed in January 2020, leaves Kylie in charge of creative efforts and marketing. She still owns 49% of the business, which she and her mother Kris Jenner grew through shrewd self-promotion and super low overhead costs. Jenner used $250,000 of her earnings from modelling gigs to pay an outside company to produce her first 15,000 lip kits."

Kylie joins nine other billionaires under the age of 30. Whilst seven of them are heirs to their money, John Collison (payments processor Stripe's cofounder, worth $3.2 billion) and Evan Spiegel (Snapchat cofounder, worth $1.9 billion), are self-made 29-year-olds.
As with most things the famous family do, Kylie has faced backlash from people who claim she isn't 'self-made' because her family were extremely wealthy.
Hitting back at the claims in Paper magazine in 2019, Kylie said: "The self-made thing is true; my parents cut me off at the age of 15.
"My parents told me I needed to make my own money, it's time to learn how to save and spend your own money, stuff like that. What I'm trying to say is I did have a platform, but none of my money is inherited."
