Monica Bellucci shows off her seductive, ravishing looks and sensual lips as the new face of the latest Dolce & Gabbana makeup collection. The new limited edition Monica Lipstick Collection will be available in six shades and will hit stores on May 12.
No one can deny that Monica Bellucci is the epitome of Italian
beauty. Named one of the "100 Hottest Women of All-Time" by 'Men's
Health' and the most desirable woman by 'AskMen', the 47-year-old
actress flaunts her sultry looks for the new Dolce & Gabbana
limited edition makeup line, the Monica Lipstick Collection, which
will be available in stores worldwide starting May 12.
"We love Monica and have worked with her many times over the past
20 years. Her beauty is timeless," Domenico Dolce says. "She
expresses perfectly the Dolce & Gabbana woman," adds Stefano
Gabbana, "She is ravishing – a true Italian icon."
Monica Bellucci and Dolce & Gabbana is the perfect combination
that ultimately leads to maximum sexiness, sensuality and
expressiveness. The gorgeous actress and the famous designers have
a long history together. Bellucci was the famous brand's face for
numerous campaigns including the one for spring/summer
2012 and walked for Dolce & Gabbana on several catwalks
shows. "We are very old friends of Monica’s. We must have met in
1989 or 1990.…We really grew up together," Stefano Gabbana
said.
Speaking about her long-term friendship with Dolce &
Gabbana, the actress confesses that, "I really admire the way that
they channel sensuality into their work, whether that’s in an
overtly feminine way, or sometimes with really subtle touches that
aren’t immediately obvious but really catch your attention."
As for their latest collaboration, Bellucci says that, "I’m
delighted to be collaborating with Domenico and Stefano on Dolce
& Gabbana The Make Up. I have always adored the aesthetic of
Dolce & Gabbana and it’s so exciting to be involved with their
creative process."
The new lipsticks will be available in six shades and will be
priced $32 each. "The idea for the collection was to create
different shades, different colors depending on your mood of the
day, your state of mind. I love all shades in the collection and
feel drawn to the different colors, depending on how I feel,"
Bellucci explains.
The first images for the campaign have already been shot by famous
photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in London in October
2011. Pat McGrath is responsible for the impeccable makeup paraded
by the stunning Italian actress. The print campaign of the Monica
Lipstick Collection will drop in May in Italy, the U.K., the U.S.,
Russia and the Middle East.
