MAKEUP TIPS: 6 ORIGINAL WAYS TO USE YOUR FOUNDATION

  • Did you know that you can use your foundation many different ways? Today, let’s talk about 6 cool and original possibilities of using one and the same product – your favorite foundation:

    1) Hydrate and cover up.

Mix up your foundation with your moisturizer (in proportion 1:1, for example; proportion can vary though) on the back of your (clean) hand – and you’ve just created your own tinted moisturizer! Use it on those days when you don’t feel like wearing a lot of makeup; it will feel very light on your skin, hydrate your face and help to, effortlessly, even up your skin tone.

    2) Shine on…

Mix up your foundation with light, shimmery, loose eye shadow (Mac’s pigment called “Vanilla” will be perfect for it) – and you have just created your own wonderful highlighter! Isn’t it cool?!

    3) Should I buy an eye primer?

Yon can apply your foundation directly on your eyelids, instead of eye primer and then, fix it with translucent, loose powder – you’ve just created a clear canvas for applying your eye shadows. The colors will look more vibrant and your eye makeup will last longer.

    4) Make ’em POP!

If you apply your foundation all over your lips prior to applying your lip color, thus, neutralizing your natural lip shade, your red (or other) lipstick will pop!

    5) Millions of new colors!

Mix up your foundation with any shade of lipstick (you can do it on the back of your hand or directly on the lips by applying one product on top of the other) – and you’ve just created new, original lip color! By changing the proportions of the amount of products, foundation and lipstick, you will create new, beautiful shades!

    6) Blushing lady…

If your cream blush is too bright and you stopped using it for this reason, try to mix it up with your foundation on the back of your hand and then, apply it on your cheeks. The color will look a lot more natural and less vibrant, your newly made blush will blend easily into your skin.

I hope you found it useful.
