Minoxidil & Hair Loss: What Happens If You Stop Using Regaine?

Regaine was originally formulated for hypertension and is now used by millions to reverse hair loss and stimulate hair growth. Formulas normally are sold over the counter and contain either 2 or 5 percent minoxidil, with all the remainder being composed of alcohol, propylene glycol, and purified water. In those days it was packaged with all the warning so it might cause the growth and darkening of fine body hairs. Minoxidil comes in doses formulated for the use of both men and some women. Generally a treatment of regaine containing a 5% minoxidil strength is recommended for men, while a 2% strength is recommended for women. Results of regaine can take several weeks to appear and they are not permanent; should use of the treatment stop the results will revert to the state experienced prior to using the treatment. Minoxidil could be combined with additional additives to improve its effectiveness, for example Azelaic acid, reputed for reducing hair thinning, Finasteride, which reduces levels of DHT, Nicotinate, a vaso-dilator employed for better absorption, and Progesterone, a female hormone shown to neutralize the effects of DHT. Research has shown that male pattern baldness or Androgenetic Alopecia is often the source of male hair loss and this is linked genetic but minoxidil will work because it attacks the problem at the root of the reason. The chances are over 90 percent that when a man notices he or she is showing the telltale signs of a receding hairline they have an ailment known as male pattern balding (androgenetic alopecia). Over the last 20 or so years I have tried virtually every product regarding the market for hair loss. While it holds true that some products have produced very good results I have yet to obtain anything that has even come close to restoring my receding hairline; slowing the recession, yes; restoring no. in my situation it was a question of recognizing the issue far too late. Minoxidil topical solution is applied straight to the hair and scalp. For maximum results it should stay regarding the head for at least four hours before being rinsed out. However, it might be rinsed out after 40 minutes if the alcohol in the solution interferes with hair styling products. Regaine doesn't affect DHT, the hormone that is thought resulting in baldness and has to be applied once or twice a day to maintain hair growth. Once its use ceases the hair will return to its normal levels within days. Does regaine work for people who suffer from high blood pressure? No, unfortunately minoxidil does not work for re-growth. Regaine helps stop hair receding, but it does not make it easier to grow new hair. That will be a completely different story. It only stops hair thinning by lengthening your hair's growth cycle and keeping it from the very last stage, and is the part that makes your hair fall off. This allows you to keep a thicker mane of hair.
