Natural skin care are made from naturally-derived ingredient such as herbs, roots and other natural resources combined with natural occurring carrier agents, preservatives surfactants, humectants and emulsifier. If we say natural, we used natural resources that exist in our environment without any chemical preservation added on it. Like jojoba, it is a shrub native to sonorant it is often used as an ingredient in make ups because it is a natural moisturizer and has oil for specialty fragrances. Organic skin care simply means that the botanical product was grown in chemically-free environment. Natural, meanwhile, means that the final product has been made solely from botanical resources without any use of additives or preservatives. Organic and natural may mean the same but they are not interchangeable. Basically, the only thing common is that each product using these two labels substitute a chemical product with natural or organic ,materials that are supposed to be only better for the user but also for the environment. Nowadays, skin care products are going into the natural and organic production because of the health concerns regarding the presence of harmful chemicals that prevails with the products being sold in the market.
Even though many cosmetic products are regulated, there are still health concerns regarding the presence of harmful chemicals with these products. Aside from color additives, cosmetic products and their ingredients are not subject to FDA regulation prior to their release in the market. It is only when the product is found to violate FDA rules that they will start to take actions. With new products released into the market every season, it is hard to keep track of the safety of every product. Some products carry carcinogenic contaminants. All natural products contain mineral and plant ingredients and organic products are made with organic agricultural products. Products who claim they are organic are not, unless they are certified as such.
Though it is still up to us choose the product that we may want to use, it is best to keep in mind that both organic skincare and natural skincare are better than products that are purely chemically made.
